A pair of authentic French Classical Period Timpani with copper bowls with 'Schalltrichters' and T-handles by unknown French maker. Drums have been dated between 1828-1880 by Guthrie who did the restoration work. Drums have been cleaned and fully serviced. Includes new goat skins, extra goat skins untucked, new head protectors, and new wooden tripods. The shape is 1/2 between apple butter and parabolic. The depths are 15 7/8" and 16 1/4". The head sizes are 29.5" and 27". Counter-hoop sizes are 30" and 27.5". The bowl diameters are 24.5" and 26 7/8"
